The sculpture was purchased by the Bedford County Pioneer Historical Society when the sculpture was changing hands in Colorado Springs. In 1945, the Bedford County Pioneer Historical Society installed the sculpture on Lutzville Road on a tall, fieldstone base. In the 1950s the sculpture was severely damaged by vandals and at the time of the 1995 SOS! survey, the sculpture was in pieces in the property owners garage. IAS files contain an undated article from The Tribune Democrat (Pennsylvania), which includes an image of the sculpture.
