    Description:
A Civil War monument consisting of a female figure mounted at the top of a tall eight-sided pedestal adorned with four male figures representing various branches of the military standing on bases that extend from the bottom of the pedestal. The female figure holds out a wreath with her proper right hand. She is dressed in a long, sleeveless classical robe. Her pedestal is decorated around the top with a band of stars. Further down, on the front of the pedestal is a relief of a wreath with the intertwined letters S and U within it. At the bottom of the pedestal there are four uniformed figures representing a cavalryman, an artilleryman, a soldier, and a sailor.
The cavalryman stands with both arms extended in front of him, proper right over proper left, to hold a rifle that is now missing. The artilleryman has his proper left arm bent at the elbow, hand poised to hold the handle of a sword that is now missing from his proper left side. The sailor stands with his proper left hand on his hip. The soldier stands with both arms extended in front of him, proper right hand over proper left, to hold a rifle that is now missing.
