    Description: 
    Sculpture of Lewis and Clark stands atop a circular base. The figures stand among rocks and tree limbs and a large dog stands between their feet. Lewis holds a rifle and Clark holds an open book. Both figures wear moccasins and other Native-American styled clothing. The lower portion depicts, in relief, scenes from their journey, fort plans and an image of Thomas Jefferson.

    The City of Seaside marks the end of the Lewis and Clark Trail. The sculpture was funded by local residents. IAS files include a related 1993 article from the Seaside Signal, which indicates preservation work done on sculpture in 1992.
