    Remarks:
Smokey the Bear was originally located at Clyde Marriott's Capitol Saw Shop at the Glendale Junction. In 1965, construction of Interstate 5 eliminated Capitol Saw Shop and the sculpture was relocated to Ivan Mariott's place (Clyde's father's) at the old Glendale Junction. Mariott rebuilt Smokey's feet and installed a rod up the middle so that it could be loaded by a wrecker. In 1986 Smokey was relocated to its current location. There is a nearby speaker with a push-button recording of "Smokey" talking about Canyonville.
