Remarks:
Totem Pole Park was a retirement project for Ed Galloway, whose home was located on the property. After his death in 1962, the pieces deteriorated and vandals stole the violins stored in the Fiddle House and spray painted graffiti throughout. The roof of the Fiddle House collapsed and the home was set afire. The Kansas Grassroots Arts Association began restoration in 1983. They replaced the roof on the Fiddle House, repainted it and cleaned up the natural debris. A later restoration effort was a joint project of the Association, the Rogers County Historical Society, the Foyil Heritage Association and the Galloway family. The Park is listed the State of Oklahoma's Landmarks Inventory. IAS files contain brochures from the Kansas Grassroots Arts Association and the Rogers County Historical Society and related articles from the Society's newsletter, July 1990, USA Today, Sept. 12, 1991, and the Sunday Oklahoman, July 14, 1996.
