    Remarks:
The fountain was donated to the village of Clifton by then-mayor Henry Probasco and formally dedicated by him on July 9, 1887. The fountain was intended to be a drinking fountain for passers-by, horses and dogs. It was installed at what was then the center of the village, near Resor Academy.
The fountain was renovated and cleaned in 1974, and lights and new plumbing were installed.
