    Description: 
    A rock and concrete cairn to mark the geographical center of North America, with four sides tapering up from the base to a pyramid shape on top. At the very top is a metal ball. The base has two sets of stairs which lead to the round concrete slab circling the monument.

    Remarks: 
    IAS files contain a copy of a tourist brochure, "The Geographical Center Times," which has more information about Rugby and the creation of this geographical marker, and a photograph. The Paterson's were assisted in the construction of the monument by local Boy Scout troops.
