    Remarks:
The horse is the fourth or fifth incarnation of the Tryon horse, originally designed in 1928 by Tryon Toymakers. The horse currently standing was restored in 1983, and fashioned from fiberglass by a Spartanburg (NC) builder of boat hulls. Since being built, it has been given the name "Morris". IAS files contain an excerpt from the Block House Race Program, 1985, giving a complete history of the various versions of the Tyron Horse.
