    Description: 
    Full-length figure of a uniformed Confederate soldier stands atop a tall shaft and tiered base. The figure stands at parade rest his Springfield rifle in front of him with both hands around the barrel and the butt at his proper right foot. He wears a wide-brimmed hat and other uniform items include a bed roll, canteen, cartridge box and bayonet. The base consists of an elaborate shaft on five tiers. A relief medallion of Robert E. Lee in civilian dress of a suit and bow tie appears at the top of the shaft, in front, below figure.
