    Description: 
    Rectangular monument with a slightly apexed cap has four figurative busts emerging from its corners. The uniformed figures represent each branch of the armed forces and are a soldier, sailor, marine and aviator. All the figures are full-round at the head and shoulders and from the chest down, all become integrated into the monument. The inscription appears on the top front of the monument. Other reliefs along the top between the figures are a shield with the scales of justice on the left, an eagle on the rear and a shield with a winged helmet on the right.

    Erected by the Village of Solvay, the Town of Geddes and the Stanley R. Pennock Post 2893, Veterans of Foreign Wars in honor of their citizens and members who served in the armed forces. The frequent references to the number four are intended to invoke the Four Freedoms.
