Medium:  Sculpture: zinc or zinc-coated metal; Base: zinc or zinc-coated metal. Dimensions:  Sculpture: approx. 8 x 3.25 x 3.25 ft.; Base: approx. 4 x 5.25 x 5.25 ft. Inscription:  (On sides of monument:) FORT FISHER ANTIETAM GETTYSBURG COLD HARBOR (Honor rolls of units and individual names of those who served in the Civil War, the War of 1776 and the War of 1812 are listed on all four sides of monument) unsigned Description:  Full-length figure of a Civil War soldier standing at parade rest. He wears a uniform, overcoat and cap. The cape of his coat is thrown over his proper right shoulder. He holds a rifle by the barrel with both hands; the butt of the gun rests on the ground near his feet. The zinc or zinc-coated sculpture stands atop a zinc pedestal. The faces of the pedestal are decorated with relief bunting. The proper right side of the pedestal has a portrait bust of Lincoln in relief. Below the main shaft of the pedestal are arches and columns sculpted in relief. The pedestal ends in two steps.
