    Description: 
    A full-length figure of Christopher Columbus, walking with his proper right foot forward, wearing period costume, including boots, a long coat, and a hat. His proper right arm rests on a draped square pillar, and his proper left hand holds a sheaf of papers. The sculpture faces west and is mounted on a square base of polished granite with a rough-edged bottom.
