Description:
A mustached Civil War soldier stands with proper right hand holding the barrel of an upright rifle, the stock resting on the ground near his proper right foot. He rests his proper left forearm on the top of the rifle with proper left leg extended forward and foot pointing out to the proper left. He wears a cap and a knee-length overcoat covered by a cape. The sculpture is mounted on a tiered base made of limestone set upon a stone block.

Remarks:
The sculpture was installed by the Kings Ferry Veterans Association in memory of their comrades who died during the Civil War. The sculpture was cleaned and painted in 1990. A bolt on the proper right side of sculpture has been replaced. IAS files contain a partial transcription of names listed on base.
