Description:
Full-length portrait of World War I soldier, Stanley L. Ingraham (1891-1918). He stands with face turned slightly to his proper left. His proper left arm extends across to his proper right side where he holds the barrel of his rifle with both hands. The rifle butt is on the ground in front of his proper right foot. He is dressed in uniform and wears a helmet that is strapped under his chin, jodhpurs and puttees. Three stripes decorate his proper left sleeve. A bag is strapped across his chest and proper right shoulder, resting at his proper left rear. He wears a canteen on his proper left side, a sheathed knife at his proper left hip and an ammunition belt. The sculpture is mounted on one of a base with opposite a gravemarker.
