Remarks:
The relief plaque commemorates the 50th anniversary of Orson Welles' famous 1938 "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast which was set in the town of Grovers Mill. The broadcast was based on a story by H. G. Wells. IAS files contain a related article from The Star-Ledger (Newark, NJ), Aug. 8, 1996, pg. 15.
