    Description: 
    A figure of an Indian chief, dressed in a loincloth and wearing an elaborate feathered headdress with tails that fall down his back, stands cradling a tomahawk with his arms folded across his upper chest. The figure is placed atop a decorated and inscribed base with an upper section modeled as a rock formation. The base is surrounded by a grouping of shrubs.

    Remarks: 
    The figure memorializes those members of the Improved Order of Red Men who died during World War I. A plaque honoring all members of the Improved Order of Red Men was added to the base when the figure was rededicated. The figure was originally installed in Camden, New Jersey. It was rededicated May 21, 1981 in Tuckerton (New Jersey). IAS files contain a partial transcription of names on plaque.
