Inscription:  (On bronze plaque on front of base:) NEW HAMPSHIRE/VOCATIONAL/TECHNICAL COLLEGE/STRATHAM/exercitatio optimus est magister/HONORING/all prior and future graduates/OPEN OPEN/PORTSMOUTH STRATHAM/1945 1983 unsigned Description:  Abstract granite sculpture of an osprey in full flight. The wings are fully extended and the body of the bird tilts at a 35 degree angle. Incised features include the eyes, the beak, and some feathers on the neck. The sculpture rests on a fitted granite base. Both base and sculpture are rough-hewn.
