    Description: 
    A mottled bronze colored bird with outspread wings, lowered beak and spread tail feathers. The bird is welded to a cross of angle iron. The iron cross is bolted to wooden cross beams, painted black. The wooden cross is set on a cruciform concrete base which rises from the rocky shoreline on which the sculpture is mounted.

    Remarks: 
    Sculpture was originally a silver color, but it oxidized and turned a bronze color. The sculpture rusted and was refinished by the artist. The sculpture was originally displayed outside The Surroundings art gallery in Center Sandwich. It was purchased by Huldah Sharp and given to her daughter Leslie Christodoulopoulos. It originally had a different base; but the base was rebuilt by the sculptor to withstand lake winds. The sculpture is displayed outside only during the summer. It is stored indoors the rest of the year.
