(On plaque, below relief:) ROLL OF HONOR/GREENFIELD N.H./1914-WORLD WAR-1918/(followed by 15 names)/"THESE GALLANT MEN OF OUR ARMED/FORCES HAVE FOUGHT FOR THE IDEALS/WHICH THEY KNEW TO BE THE IDEALS OF/THEIR COUNTRY"/Woodrow Wilson (in script) 1918 Founder's mark appears.
    Description: 
    Bronze memorial plaque featuring a bas-relief artillery scene at the top of the plaque. The relief depicts three cannon being tended by soldiers; the cannon face right and are in a line which recedes into the distance. Five soldiers are preparing the nearest cannon; a wounded soldier lies on the ground in front of it. Seven soldiers work on the center cannon and two soldiers work on the distant one. The scene is set in a wooded area. Along the top of the plaque is a high relief of an eagle with outspread wings. The bird is flanked by two draped flags. The plaque is attached to the side of a building.
