His proper right hand is held up, his proper left hand is holding gun with bayonet pointed forward. His proper left knee is raised slightly. Bronzed barbed wire around figure's feet. Base is 3-tiered. Cost: $5,200. The Schuyler Home Guards had a surplus of $1,000 when they disbanded at the end of World War I. They decided to start a monument fund with the surplus. The monument committee contracted with the Lincoln Fine Arts Shop to erect a monument for $5,200.
