Owner:
St. Hedwig's Church, Holdingford, Minnesota
Remarks:
Located on a lot opposite St. Hedwig's Church, the shrine was initiated by Rev. John Komolicki, then the Church's pastor. It was designed by Rev. Gilbert Winkelman, architect. Edward and Donald Feia built the walls, with fieldstone donated by local farmers. Plaques along the walls gave the names of servicemen. IAS files contain an excerpt from "Monumental Minnesota," by Moira Harris (Pogo Press, 1992), pg. 82. For further reading see the St. Cloud Daily Times Sept. 8, 1942.
