    A marble figure of a Union Civil War soldier standing at parade rest atop a square granite base. The soldier holds a musket in front of him with both hands resting on the barrel of the rifle.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was erected by the Grand Army of the Republic Joseph Mason Post No. 248. Over the years, vandals broke off the hands and musket; the hands were never recovered, but parts of the musket were found. The musket has been repaired and new hands have been fabricated.
