Nearby plaque reads, in raised letters: IN HONOR OF/ALBERT AND FREDA ARONSON GREEN/SETTLED IN NILES, MICHIGAN 1874/AND THEIR CHILDREN/ABE GREEN AND/MARIE GREEN HAAS/DEDICATED NOVEMBER 1974. Related materials and information may be obtained at the Fort St. Joseph Museum in Niles. After being restored in 1998, the sculpture was relocated to its current site along the newly formed parkway on the river on Main Street.
