CANAS/1988 (Right plaque on front, vertical element of base:) DURAND CENTENNIAL/COMMEMORATING/RAILROADING/1887-1987 unsigned Description:  A railroad man stands in work clothes, wearing a visored cap, workman's jacket, and a scarf tied around his neck. He holds an oilcan with a long spout with both hands, preparing to oil a large train wheel atop a train track. A lantern rests on the ground to his proper right. The sculpture is mounted on a large, multitiered base with plaques, with the train wheel attached to its vertical element. Four short posts with linking chain surround the sculpture.
