    Description: 
    A standing figure of a Civil War soldier holding his rifle vertically in front of him. Both hands rest on the rifle barrel and the rifle butt rests by his proper right foot. The sculpture stands atop a rough granite base adorned on the front with a relief depicting crossed rifles, a wreath, and a United States shield.
