    Description: 
    A standing figure of a Spanish-American War soldier carrying a rifle horizontally across his hips with both hands on the rifle. His proper right foot is forward slightly. A canteen and a rectangular bag are strapped across his back. The figure stands on a stone base adorned with a large cross on the front.
