    Description:
Four sculptures that symbolize the stages of the creative process from initial idea to finished product --Inspiration, Preparation, Perspiration, Realization. The sculptures are arranged in random order to represent the chaotic nature of the creative process. "Inspiration" (made of cast resin with a bronze patina) is an inward-looking abstract figure, body tortuously bent and wrapped in on itself. "Preparation" (made of bronze) is a dancing figure, arms widespread, head raised, balancing on the toes of its proper left foot. "Perspiration" (made of polychrome cast resin with found objects) is an assemblage of wheels, gears, dials, horns, switches and circuits. A small, bald man is perched on a corner of the assemblage and uses a giant wrench to tighten a bolt. "Realization" (made of cast resin and found objects) is a green dragon perched on a gear-driven personal computer and wearing one ruby slipper. The other slipper is on the support frame. Each sculpture is mounted on a small square base.
