Inscription:  Larry White 1980 (On foundation between beams, etched:) Sept 6 1978 signed Subject:  Abstract -- Geometric Mythology -- Egyptian -- Phoenix Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Maryland -- Barclay Sculpture Owner:  Delmarva Sash and Door Company, Intersection of Routes 313 & 302, on grounds, Barclay, Maryland 21607 Remarks:  When Delmarva Sash and Door Company's main plant was devastated by fire on September 6, 1978, the company's president, Theodore W. Lanskroener, asked that two steel beams badly warped by the fire be saved. They were and they provide the main elements of the sculpture, which was designed to portray Delmarva's future thrust.
