Inscription:  unsigned Description:  A fantastic, abstract castle cemented to the side of a cliff. Subject:  Abstract Architecture -- Castle Object Type:  Outdoor Sculpture -- Maine -- Popham Beach Sculpture Owner:  Hart, Dr., Route 209, Popham Beach, Maine 04562 Remarks:  Clarence Perkins began the sculpture when his son went off to World War II. He worked on it for seven years. Summer and year round residents contributed various items to be added to the sculpture including a rock from England, stones from the Fugi Islands and various states, and quartz from the Georgetown Quarry. Mr. Perkins' daughter, Arlene Morse, still gives the new owner of the residence stones and children's marbles to contribute to the sculpture.
