Description:
Full-length female figure in bronze. She wears a tunic which is windblown. Her forearms are crossed in front of her chest, her proper left hand near her mouth. She gazes down. The sculpture rests on a flat stone base in the center of a planted garden.

Remarks:
Nearby plaque translates the French text: "The Locust when he has planned to sing all summer becomes very upset when the North wind blows unexpectedly." The sculpture was originally located indoors at the Hodges home. In 1966 the sculpture was moved to the greenhouse. In early 1997 the sculpture was moved outdoors to its present location.
