    Description: 
    A uniformed Civil War soldier stands at parade rest, both hands gripping the barrel of his rifle, the butt of which rests by his feet. The soldier is wearing a visored cap, and a short cape over his knee-length coat. The figure is mounted on top of an elaborate base that includes an attenuated upper section with a bordered cornice above four columns. The base is multitiered and inscribed and includes plaques.
