2 figures. Mary: approx. 5 1/2 x 2 x 2 ft.; Bernadette: approx. 3 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 ft.; Grotto: approx. 10 x 30 x 20 ft.

Full-length painted stone figure of Mary. The sculpture stands on a stone altar inside a fieldstone grotto. In front of the grotto, to the left of the opening, is a concrete figure of Bernadette. She is kneeling and faces the grotto. The sculpture stands directly on the ground.

Nearby plaque: "This shrine was erected during the "Marian Year" 1954, by the men of this parish in token of their love for the Mother of God. Rev. C. B. Ernst, Pastor." The rocks for the grotto were collected on local farms by the members of the Holy Name Society. The grotto was constructed by the members of the Society.
