    Description: 
    A uniformed Union soldier in sentry stance, facing north, holds the barrel of his rifle at chest height, the butt resting by his feet. He has a moustache and wears a billed cap, greatcoat, and bayonet scabbard at his proper left side. The soldier is mounted upon a pedestal with a half-furled flag etched on the front, set on a rough-edged lower base.
