Inscription:  (On plaque on front of base:) THREE CREEKS MONUMENT/DEDICATED 1905/IN HONOR OF THOSE WHO SERVED IN THE CIVIL/MEXICAN, AND SPANISH-AMERICAN WARS/AND THE WAR OF 1812 BY THE WOMEN OF TRI-CREEK./LOWELL WOMEN'S CLUB 1972 (On front of pedestal:) CEDAR CREEK/(list of names in three columns) (On rear of pedestal:) NAMES OF SOLDIERS WHO/LIVE OR ARE BURIED WITHIN/THE THREE CREEK TOWNSHIPS/BUT WHO DID NOT ENLIST FROM THEM/(list of names in three columns) (On proper left of pedestal:) WEST CREEK/(list of names in three columns) (On proper right of pedestal:) EAGLE CREEK/(list of names in three columns) Description:  A standing Union infantryman in sentry stance, with proper left foot slightly forward, and proper left hand over proper right hand, holding a rifle barrel with its butt on the ground. He wears a billed cap, a great-coat and a knapsack. The sculpture is mounted on a multi-tiered base, with an upper pedestal section. There are reliefs on the base's second tier from the bottom, with crossed cannons on the left and right, crossed swords on the rear and crossed muskets with bayonets and a knapsack on the front.
