Inscription:  (On rear of sculpture near base:) HElgar '68 (On front of base, incised lettering:) ELGAR/PAULINE R./1913/HAROLD E./1910-1984 signed Description:  A kneeling figure of Mary supports a lifeless figure of Christ against her body with her proper right hand on his chest and her proper left hand beneath his proper left arm.
