    Remarks:
Sculptor Harold "Dugan" Elgar originally carved his interpretation of Michelangelo's "Pieta" in 1968 for his senior year project at the Herron School of Art. The sculpture is a larger-scale replica of his first "Pieta." It marks the Elgar burial plot. IAS files contain a related article from Indiana Rural News (July 1975): pg. 4-5.
