    Description: 
    Standing figure of a Civil War soldier set on top of a tall granite shaft. He wears a uniform consisting of a long coat, a cape buttoned at the top and a cap. The mustached figure holds the handle of a sword in his proper right hand with the tip resting in front of his proper right foot. He holds a flag in his proper left hand. On the base below stands a Union soldier on the proper right side and a Confederate soldier on the proper left side. The Union soldier is dressed with a cap a long coat and a cape. The Confederate soldier is wearing a brimmed hat and short jacket. The rifles held by the two bottom soldiers and the base they each stand on is wood.
