Description:
Memorial fountain consists of figures around fountain shaft, with basin and statue of Indian and eagle on top of the memorial. Figures on shaft represent the four principal divisions of the Services of Supply of the American Expeditionary Forces- Administration, Construction, Procurement and Distribution. The eight faces below the upper basin represented the coats of arms of eight French cities which had important installations.

Remarks:
This memorial was erected by the American Battle Monuments Commission after World War I to commemorate the Services of Supply of the American Expeditionary Fources, whose headquarters functioned in the city of Tours. Jennewein exhibited the sculptural group of the Indian and Eagle separately.
