An open-mouthed alligator sits on a branch on an island. Its tail is curled and its head is raised. This is a buoyant sculpture, which floats in a pond, accessible only by boat. It is attached to the bottom of the pond with metal fasteners.

Commissioned by the class of 1987 as a gift to Land O' Lakes Senior High School. The artist was a teacher at the school at the time of the commission. The alligator is the school's mascot. This is reportedly the largest buoyant sculpture.
