    Description: 
    The 2 1/2 ft. high fountain basin is rounded on front and back, south and north, with a raised wreath decorating each face. A canopy supported by four Doric columns tops the basin. The bottom third of each column is fluted and wrapped in a spiral of rose garland. More rose garlands hang over the canopy top. A cartouche crowns the composition.

Hezikiah B. Loomis was the son of Colonel James Loomis, one of the founding members of Loomis Institute, now Loomis-Chaffee School.
