    Description: 
    Standing full-length figure of a uniformed Civil War soldier. He is clean shaven and wears an unbelted long coat. The soldier holds the barrel of a rifle with only his proper right hand, with the butt of the rifle resting on the plinth in front of his proper left foot. He stands atop a granite base with incised text on polished granite.
