    Description: 
    A tower constructed of twenty-eight, three-inch-round steel poles installed in a tight circle supports a four foot round collection plate at the top. A drinking fountain is extends from one side near the base of the tower. When the drinking fountain is used, water flows up into the collection plate at the top of the tower and after several drinks, the plate fills up and tips over causing the water to cascade down the center of the tower hitting six successive steel plates until it reaches the ground.

    Remarks: 
    This sculpture is one of three by Berry installed on the Vallecito Elementary School playground. Businesses, individuals, and public and private agencies raised $115,000 to build the three sculptures. Among those who donated funds were: San Raphael City Council, $15,000; the Buck Trust, $32,000; Dixie School District, $14,000; the county Parks and Recreation Department,$2,500; Chevron, $2,000; the Gannett Foundation, $1,000; and Public Art Works (formerly known as InterArts of Marin), $35,000. IAS files contain related articles from the San Raphael News, April 22, 1987 and the Independent Journal, May 11, 1987.
