Formerly in the collection of Mabry, Harold, DeQueen, Arkansas
    Remarks:
The sculpture was originally located in DeQueen, Arkansas, owned by the artist, a blacksmith who intended it to be a hanging piece that would have been suspended with a C-shaped piece of metal. The sculpture was constructed from old wagon wheel hubs using plywood templates. The weather vane was added within the last few years by the father of Gordon Matteson. The sculpture was anchored to the ground after a wind storm in the early 1980s.
