    Description: 
    A fountain with a rectangular base and a basin for horses to drink from. Behind the basin is a Victorian foliate capital with a surmounting sphere. On the capital is a lion's head where water flowed into the basin. A conch shell over a small basin, on the back of the column, originally was a drinking fountain for humans. Five low round bollards surround the fountain.

    Remarks: 
    George Keller was the architect of the library and it is presumed that he drew plans for the fountain as part of that commission. Although the basin is inscribed with the date 1891, library records indicate fountain was done June 9, 1892.
