    Description: 
    A full-length portrait of Don Miguel Hidalgo. He is standing, depicted wearing a coat and boots, with his right foot in front of his left. He is holding a rolled flag (?) in his proper right hand and a chain (?) in his proper left hand. He stands on a bronze base atop a pedestal composed of pigmented and aggregated concrete.

    Remarks: 
    The sculpture was a gift from the Comite Official de Festejos Patrios. It originally had a different base and was placed closer to the lake. IAS files contain transcription on plaque and excerpt from Reed text which shows sculpture on original base.
