    Remarks:
Darragh de Lancey designed the memorial in 1926-1927 after his daughter Harriet died unexpectedly while attending Smith College. In the 1940s, vandals damaged the angels, but the sculpture was successfully repaired. In 1991, de Lancey's descendants hired Jerry Hannebury Inc. of Gardiner, Maine to clean and refurbish the monument. The marble was cleaned with high-pressure steam and the joints were pointed. The sculpture was then sprayed with a waterproofing solution.
