Dedicated April 19, 1994. Medium:  Sculpture: bronze; Base: granite. Dimensions:  Approx. 8 ft. 6 in. x 10 ft. x 8 ft. Inscription:  Korczak sc. 1935/(copyright symbol) R. Ziolkowski (Plaques on each side of the eight-sided base contain portraits of those honored by this monument and text) signed Description:  Two fighting stallions stand on an octagonal base. Both stallions are rearing up on their hind legs, and are locked in combat. Plaques with likenesses of the eight men honored by this memorial appear on each side of the base. South Dakotans contributed funding, labor and in-kind donations. Sculpture is an enlargement of an 18 inch mahogany sculpture carved by Korczak Ziolkowski in 1935.
