Clattworthy Wood Boston July 1818..." signed Description:  An opening in a dark wood scene shows the naked figures of Adam and Raphael in an array of star spangled feathers about shoulders, hips, and ankles, and great spreading wings. Legend written in ink at bottom reads: "RAPHAL(sic) Led by ADAM to the Bower Vide Milton's Paradise Lost (Canto?) the V page 116."
