The memorial design and construction was done by and under the supervision of Hoggson Brothers of New York City. Modelling of the tablets and the eagle was done by Rochette & Parsini of New York City. The granite pedestal was furnished by the North State Granite Company of Mount Airy, North Carolina. The bronze work was done by William H. Jackson Company of Brooklyn, New York.
