    Remarks: 
    One of ninety monuments in the park honoring New York units in the Gettysburg campaign. Dedicated on July 3, 1893, it marks the location held by the 44th New York Infantry on the afternoon of July 2, 1863 during the Confederate attack on Little Round top. The monument (referred to as MN 93) is listed on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures and is referenced in the Gettysburg National Military Park Archives, vol. 19, 1975-1976. The monument was designed and modeled by Hammerstein & Denivelle.
