Totem pole was carved at the 1964-65 World's Fair in New York. Heinmiller was the supervisor of the project and his name and signature as head of the carving operation appear on the frog. IAS files contain letter from the librarian at the Huntington Free Library, Bronx, NY, which describes the sometimes conflicting myths surrounding the symbolism of the animals on the totem pole. The letter also includes a list of Heinmiller's descriptive photo labels and notes/bibliographic references from conversations with him.
